Buffalo Creek Bluffs is a 'Mom & Pop' campground. As you might imagine, it takes a lot of work to keep up on things around here! There are also a lot of improvements to be made to the campground that will benefit the entire community we hope to build here. So, anyone that would like to help out is more than welcome to jump in and lend a hand. Any help offered will be reflected in discounts. Want to cut your own grass? We can work something out. Want to help maintain the trails and overall campground, we can work something out! If that's something you're interested in, let us know when you call for a reservation.
Tent/Off-Road Trailer Camping
Buffalo Creek Bluffs has not yet designated specific sites for tents or off-road trailers. However, we have identified many sites suitable for this type of camping. Tent and off-road trailer camping does require a reservation. We ask that you visit the site about a week prior to arriving so we can prep the site (e.g., mow, level a tent area) you select for your stay. If you can't visit, please call a week in advance so we can discuss the options and choose a site that works best for you.
There are no improved roads leading into, or within the forest. If you plan to use an off-road trailer, it will likely need to be taken into the forest with an UTV. Cars will not work and full-size trucks won't be able to maneuver in many places down there. We have a UTV on-site with 2500lb towing capacity if needed.
Most tent/off-road trailer sites are in the floodplain. We don't get much flooding, but you will need to leave good contact information with us if you plan to leave the campground so that we can reach you if flooding becomes possible while you are gone.

These sites are strictly 'pack in, pack out', including any grey or black water you generate. Tent campers must have, and use, camp toilets. No latrines can be dug in the campground. Any dumping of grey or black water, or non-use of camp toilets will lead to immediate expulsion from the campground. No refunds will be provided.

Rates for tent camping is $10/person/night (kids under 10 are free). Off-road trailer camping is $40/night and $10 per person in excess of two people. We also have a few sites suitable for group camping. There is a 5-person minimum charge (i.e. $50) for these sites. Full payment is due upon check-in.
